The metal work retains its original blueing. It has a beautiful uniquely contoured stock with attractive grain, stippled pistol grip and underside stock section. The barrel is stamped 'Walther LGR Cal 4,5 Walther's Patent 104318 F'. It has a fine adjustment match trigger and the underside of the stock has a steel rail. It has the correct Micrometer Diopter rear target sight and full ring foresight. It has a beautiful left handed oil polished stock with curved rubber butt pad. Immediately after its introduction, the LGR broke both the individual and team 10-meter world records.

It is serial number EA 18089 which dates it to between 1950-1954.
